Reiki Treatment
A Reiki treatment is a process where a Reiki Channel (Reiki Healer, Reiki Master, Reiki Grand Master or any Reiki Practitioner) passes universal energy to the body of his/her patient or subject.
The Reiki Channel receives Universal Energy ("Rei-Ki" means Universal Energy) from his/ her Crown Chakra (located at the top of the head) and passes it either from his/ her hands or third eye (Agya Chakra also known as Brow Chakra), to the body of the Subject or Patient. Since this energy is Universal, giving energy to the patient does not leave the Reiki Channel depleted of energy.
It is upto you to use the energy, and the Reiki Channel is not responsible for this. For this reason, Reiki Channels rarely promise any results for a Reiki Treatment. A Reiki Treatment (Reiki Healing Session) is like taking a thirsty person to water. It is upto you to drink it or not. Reiki Treatment only works with the consent with the patient. If you do not want to accept Reiki (Universal Energy), a Reiki Master or Reiki Healer cannot force it. The amount of energy you absorb will determine your rate and amount of healing. Unfortunately, this is not a conscious step - no one can tell you how to 'use' this energy, other than sitting and willing the energy to come within you and help you.
Sensitive people might feel a variety of sensations during a Reiki Treatment of a Reiki Healing Session. It could range from a warm feeling, to a cold one, or air moving rapidly in certain areas, numbness, or simply a mixture of hot-cold sensations. Those who are not so senstive, might not feel much, but this does not mean that they are not receiving energy.
Reiki is not faith healing, and does not require the patient to have faith in the system. However, a firm belief that it will NOT work, will hamper the progress of the patient, since this tends to block the energy absorption of the patient.
