Distant Healing / Distance Healing
Reiki, being energy, can be transmitted to others irrecpective of time and space. A person who has done Reiki Level 2 or above, is capable of sending distant Reiki and perform Reiki Healing sessions from remote locations.
There is no need for the patient to have met the Reiki Healer, and distant healing can be requested over the internet as well. Often, Reiki Healers require certain details about the patient, such as full name, age / date of birth, location, gender, father's name and photograph. Some Reiki Healers require their patients to spend some time alone to receive the energy better.
Distant healing is just as effective as hands-on healing. Although it is not faith healing, it is observed that faith in Reiki increases the rate of healing greatly.
